CHARLOTTE – The Buffalo Bills are making a change at returner.

Veteran wide receiver Brandon Tate was declared inactive Sunday prior to kickoff against Carolina, meaning the team will use ex-Panthers receiver Kaelin Clay in that role against his old team.

Also included in the Bills' inactives are running back Joe Banyard, guard Vlad Ducasse, linebacker Jelani Jenkins, tight end Khari Lee, offensive tackle Conor McDermott and defensive tackle Jerel Worthy, who is out with a concussion and is the team's only player sitting because of injury.

With Banyard inactive, the team is going with LeSean McCoy, Mike Tolbert and Taiwan Jones at running back.
