Woman punched, duct taped in Riverside home invasion

A woman was attacked and tied up with duct tape during a home invasion Monday morning in a home in Riverside, according to a Buffalo police report.

Two people forced their way into a house on Skillen Street between Roesch and Wyandotte avenues at about 8:40 a.m., punched the victim and restrained her with tape while they demanded money and waved a gun in her face, according to the police report.

The victim, who suffered a cut and facial swelling, was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center. The attackers fled but did not take anything from the house, according to the report.
