SUNY trustees approve interim president for NCCC

The State University of New York Board of Trustees on Tuesday appointed a veteran college administrator as interim president of Niagara County Community College.

William J. Murabito, who has worked for more than 30 years in SUNY institutions and at the system administration level, will start Oct. 16. The appointment is effective for one year or until the post is filled permanently, whichever comes first.

Murabito previously served previously in the same interim basis at SUNY Sullivan, Morrisville State College, Rockland Community College and SUNY Cobleskill.

From 2006 to 2009, he was vice president for student affairs and enrollment management at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Murabito also was an associate vice chancellor in the provost's office for SUNY System Administration.

He will make $200,000 as interim president.

James P. Klyczek resigned as NCCC president in April.
