A Buffalo man waiting to catch a bus Monday night at the Metro Rail station at Main and Amherst streets was robbed at gunpoint, according to a Buffalo police report.
The victim told police a man who had asked to use his phone charger and phone inside the station followed the victim outside at about 11 p.m. as he walked to catch his bus, according to the report.
The assailant grabbed the victim's phone and bus pass, stuck a gun into the man's stomach and asked if he'd ever been shot. After the victim said he hadn't been shot, the gunman told him he had previously been shot in the back, the report said.
The gunman fled on foot east across Main Street.
