Bills head coach Sean McDermott joined Mike Schopp and The Bulldog as part of Football Monday on WGR-550 AM on Monday. After some technical difficulties, McDermott talked about his first game, the preparation that went into it and feeling good going into Sunday. He then chatted about visiting the tailgating RVs and feeling a bit jealous he couldn't stay longer with the fans.
Schopp asked McDermott about how he paces himself and the players, being first in the division, preparing for the Carolina Panthers and McDermott's time as five-and-under soccer coach. McDermott finished up talking the Jets' fourth down punt late and coaching aggression situationally.
McDermott on being prepared for the Jets game — "That's basically where I was Saturday night ... we felt good about the work we put in and were ready to roll."
McDermott — "Lot of great people in that organization, that city ... we've moved on and we're proud to be Buffalo Bills now. It's a business trip and I"ll be focused on this game."
