Gaines' shoulder bruise update.

Bills insider Chris Brown also joined Murphy and Jones, and he discussed his thoughts on Shady's workload, the run game in particular, the Bills ability to sustain and go from this win and other topics.

John Murphy Show — Sept. 11, 2017

Donald Jones: "When a guy doesn't have to think as much, they can run around and make plays."

Sean McDermott on facing Carolina in their home opener: "It's a talented football team and I really appreciate the time I spent there. I also know the work we have to put in this week, and that's where my focus is now."

Chris Brown on Mike Tolbert in the stretch run game: "If there's a race to the corner, he's not winning too many races."

John Murphy: "If you're playing games, and your quarterback can pick up third downs with his feet ... that's critical. I don't want to immediately dismiss that. He is a real quarterback."
