The Buffalo Bills are undefeated.
More than that, for the first time in over 1,000 days, the Buffalo Bills own sole possession of first place in the AFC East.
Those standings are nice to look at, huh?
Ok, that's enough. The Bills beat the tanking New York Jets by nine points, 21-12.
As the kids say: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
"The Buffalo Bills went through the last of their September calisthenics Sunday, muscling their way to a 21-12 victory in their scrimmage with the Division II New York Jets."
That about sums it up.
Report card: The Bills' running game got an A from Jay Skurski. The Jets coaching got an F for that ridiculous punt.
LeSean's big day: Well, it was a big game by NFL standards, but perhaps just another day for McCoy, whom Jets cornerback Buster Skrine referred to as "Barry Sanders-like." McCoy finished with 110 yards rushing and 49 receiving. He would've had a chance to score from the 1-yard line before checking out with a small wrist injury.
The Bills' rebuilt secondary looked good: That goes especially for safeties Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde, who both logged an interception.
Matchup winners: The Bills won the trenches, Mark Gaughan wrote, neutralizing the Jets' best players.
Managing Glenn's reps: Left tackle Cordy Glenn got the start but rotated with rookie Dion Dawkins. McDermott said they wanted to manage Glenn's reps as he returns from a foot injury.
The Patriots didn't even play Sunday, is there anything to hate them for today? Sure. Here's the latest: The 1992 Bills rallying from 35-3 down to beat the Houston Oilers is known as "The Comeback." Even Wikipedia knows it. But that didn't stop the Patriots from branding their 28-3 Super Bowl comeback as "The Comeback" this week.
Tim Graham talked to some member of the '92 Bills about this development. They weren't thrilled.
What they said: Check out the press conference transcripts from Sean McDermott, Tyrod Taylor, LeSean McCoy and more.
Video: Our team members share their takeaway's from the Bills' opening win.
Tailgate report: Changing a Darrelle Revis Jets jersey to say "regrets" sounds about right.
Random factoid: Sean McDermott became just the third Bills coach to win his first game with the team.
Random fantasy stud of the week: Have to go with Rams defense/special teams, which logged three turnovers and two touchdowns in a 46-9 battering of the Andrew Luck-less Colts. Sammy Watkins had five catches for 58 yards.
Next week: Here are five things to know about the Bills' next opponent, the Carolina Panthers.
OK, gloat about this win a little longer: Ask Siri who is the best team in the NFL. You're welcome.
