Projecting the Bills' inactives against the Jets

The Buffalo Bills have ruled out two players for the season opener Sunday against the New York Jets. Defensive tackle Jerel Worthy won't play because of a concussion, while rookie linebacker Tanner Vallejo is out with a knee injury.

Here is a projection of who else might be inactive against New York:

• QB Joe Webb: With Tyrod Taylor healthy, the Bills can use two quarterbacks, with rookie Nathan Peterman as the backup.
• OT Conor McDermott: The top three tackles are Cordy Glenn, Jordan Mills and Dion Dawkins. The chances of McDermott playing likely depend on whether the Bills are confident Glenn can make it through the entire game after he missed most of the preseason dealing with a foot injury.
• TE Khari Lee: The top three of Charles Clay, Nick O'Leary and Logan Thomas would seem to be enough at the position.
• G Vlad Ducasse: If the Bills go with one reserve interior offensive lineman, it figures to be Ryan Groy.
• LB Deon Lacey: The recent acquisition off waivers might still need some time to learn the defensive scheme. This would leave the Bills with just four healthy linebackers, though, so it would come with some risk.
