LeSean McCoy isn’t an imposing presence in person, but the 5-11, 210-pound running back carries the weight of an entire offense on his shoulders with ease.
His shiftiness, his field vision, his explosiveness – all of it make him an absolute treat to watch for a newcomer to the Buffalo area and the Bills as a whole. The way he slices through traffic, carving up secondaries and eluding linebackers with such pinpoint precision. It’s fun to watch.
More impressive: Opponents know what to expect when they play the Bills, and yet the Jets and their vaunted defense couldn’t corral the 29-year-old back, who passed 12,000 total scrimmage yards in his career and topped 100 yards from scrimmage in his seventh straight game.
When I arrived in Buffalo two weeks ago, I wondered if McCoy would be as good as advertised; if he'd be as crafty, as durable, as impressive as I had known him to be from a distance.
Well, now I know. He’s every bit a playmaking powerhouse on the field. And if he can stay healthy this season, Bills fans are guaranteed to at least have something interesting to watch.
Stay tuned, ladies and gentlemen.
Shady just might make good on his #12kchase.
