CHAMBERLAIN, John T.

CHAMBERLAIN, John T.

CHAMBERLAIN - John T. 89, of Playa Vista, California, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 25, 2017, in his home. John was born in Lackawanna, New York, on September 18, 1927, to Dwight and Rose Chamberlain. He moved to Los Angeles, California, in his twenties. John married Wanda Verna on January 22, 1960, and they enjoyed more than 57 happy years together, welcoming two daughters: Julie and Karen. They will all miss his love and care. John's passion was music, especially jazz and big band. He played saxophone in the high school band with his brother Ray and friends, and around Lackawanna in their group, Johnny Ray. John attended Notre Dame for one year before entering the army, and later graduated from Buffalo's Canisius College with an accounting degree. John worked for Orange and Los Angeles Counties for many years, 35 with the latter, as an accountant, auditor and, ultimately, CAO of special investigations, where he oversaw inquiries into county divisions. While separated from his family in Buffalo by many miles, John stayed close with his siblings throughout their lives, and is survived by his sister, Rosemary Villarini, and brother James Chamberlain and his wife, Sharon, and brother Paul Chamberlain. Services for John will be held privately at a later date.
