Niagara Falls woman injured in collision on Grand Island

A woman was treated by Grand Island Fire Company medics after she was injured late Wednesday when the vehicle she was driving collided with another vehicle on Love Road near Kaegebein Elementary School on Grand Island.

Fire Capt. John Podlucky said the fire company was called to the scene of the accident at 11:16 p.m. Wednesday. The injured woman, Mary Sandonato, 58, of Niagara Falls, suffered upper body injuries for which she was treated by fire company personnel at the scene and was later transported by Twin Cities Ambulance to Erie County Medical Center for followup attention.

The driver of the other vehicle, Ryan Boye, 27, of Grand Island said he was not injured, Podlucky said.
