Al Michaels teases Bills: 'Sometimes I think the Patriots have better Buffalo players than Buffalo has'

Former Bills players made their presence felt early in the Patriots' season-opener Thursday night against the Chiefs, highlighted by running back Mike Gillislee's two first-half touchdowns.

NBC broadcaster Al Michaels noticed the trend and dealt Buffalo a low blow: "Sometimes I think the Patriots have better Buffalo players than Buffalo has," Michaels said in the second quarter.

Ouch.

Other prominent former Bills now on the Patriots include cornerback Stephon Gilmore and wide receiver Chris Hogan. Defensive lineman Alan Branch also spent one year in Buffalo.

Michaels' quip was noticed both near and far.

The radio broadcast wasn't any more kind:

Did the Bills screw up Chris Hogan's tender? Rex Ryan sure thought so.
