Early line on the Bills opener: Sunshine, +72°

You won't love Buffalo's forecast this week, but Sunday's Buffalo Bills' kickoff at New Era Field looks golden.

Sunday's forecast from the National Weather Service calls for sunny skies with a high near 72 degrees.

AccuWeather concurs with the sunshine. It projects a 68-degree day.

The Bills open their 2017 season at home at 1 p.m. Sunday against the New York Jets.

It'll be a little bit messier in the days leading up to the start of the season, though.

After a mostly sunny and warm Labor Day, the forecast turns cool and wet for the balance of the week, with chances for showers every day and daytime highs mainly in the upper 60s.

Saturday will see improving skies with sunshine and temperatures in the upper 60s, the weather service projects.
