City of Buffalo collecting household items and school supplies for Harvey victims

The City of Buffalo is collecting household items and school supplies to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey, Mayor Byron W. Brown and members of the Buffalo Common Council announced.

Barrels will be set up at City Hall, True Bethel Baptist Church, 907 E. Ferry Street, and the Salvation Army headquarters at 960 Main Street.

Donations will be accepted starting Monday, Sept. 4 and will be collected through Sept. 11.

Items being sought for donation include: soap, tooth brushes, toothpaste, towels, blankets, baby formula, diapers, deodorant, shampoo, feminine hygiene products, cases of water, crayons, pens, pencils and notebooks. For more information visit www.city-buffalo.com.
