An early morning shooting on Forest Avenue injured a 17-year-old, who was shot in the arm, police said Saturday.
The shooting occurred sometime before 2:30 a.m. Saturday at a residence on the 100 block of Forest Avenue, between West Avenue and Dewitt Street, according to police.
"Detectives say a 17-year-old Buffalo female was struck in the arm by gunfire while at some type of gathering," according to police spokesman Michael J. DeGeorge.
The victim's name was not released. She was taken to Erie County Medical Center where she was treated and released.
The shooting remains under investigation, according to police, who asked anyone with information to call or text the department's confidential tipline at 847-2255.
