It’s time to pay the piper and fix sewage problems
According to an editorial in the Aug. 29 News, “Sewage outflow is a revolting problem that must be handled, without delay,” That platitude doesn’t really help. Respectfully, The News would do a lot more good by publishing the size (in dollars) and scope (from Silver Creek to Olcott, at least) of the problem, and then frequent reports of progress (or lack thereof).
Put some pressure on the taxpayers (you can’t avoid the very considerable cost) and the politicians to actually do something other than moan. It really is an embarrassing and unacceptable mess, caused by many years of taking the easy (cheap) way out. Time to pay the piper.
