A 5-year-old girl was struck in the 100 block of Pooley Place Wednesday by a driver who allegedly left the scene of the accident, according to a spokesman for Buffalo Police on Wednesday night.
The 29-year-old driver was issued a summons following the alleged incident, according to the the Buffalo Police spokesman.
The incident happened at 4:45 p.m., as the woman, whose name was not released by police, was traveling east on Pooley, according to the police spokesman.
The child was near the edge of the street at the time, the police spokesman said.
The child was transported to Women's and Children's Hospital and treated for injuries that were non-life-threatening, the police spokesman said.
The driver was issued a summons for leaving the scene of an injury accident, according to the police spokesman.
