Nichols Vikings (0-7)
Coach: Bob Mullen, second season
Home field: Peek Field
Program founded: 1895
Outlook: The program has joined forces with Christian Central Academy – with 12 of its 29 players coming from the small, private school in Williamsville that does not offer the sport. One of those players is Ben Lekeuneu, a senior who will start at running back. He'll join incumbent starter Matt Glinski in the backfield. Glinski is a senior who was a workhorse last year and should get lots of touches again out of the double-wing. He also starts at linebacker. The Vikings have height at receiver in 6-6 transfer Chris Stineman and 6-3 sophomore Aiden Horan. Both play basketball. Junior Julian Freeman returns at quarterback. Brooks Estarfaa, who holds the Western New York single-game rushing yards record (463) is an assistant under Mullen, who coached the star back at Maryvale.
