Fire destroys Niagara Falls home

No injuries were reported following a fire which damaged a two and a half story home just before 8 a.m. Sunday at 2410 Grand Ave.

Occupants of the home had been evacuated before the Niagara Falls Fire Department crews arrived. The cause of the fire and the number of occupants displaced was unknown.

Several small explosions, believed to be caused by a small propane tank in the house, were reported, said a Niagara Falls Fire Department spokesperson.

The damages of $60,000 to $100,000 were called extensive by the fire department. The home was condemned until repairs could be made.
