For decades, he has been known as the attorney for some of Buffalo’s most notorious defendants, including accused mobsters, killers and those suspected of political corruption.
Now, some people also know him as “Reverend Paul Cambria.”
The feisty and outspoken Buffalo defense lawyer is now certified as a minister in the Universal Life Church. He got the certification after Erin McCampbell, one of the partners in his law firm, asked him to officiate at her July 28 wedding to David Paris in Orchard Park.
“Erin asked me to do it, and I was honored,” Cambria said. “I never thought I’d be asked to do something like that.”
Cambria said he really enjoyed the new experience, but he isn’t ready to start a new career just yet.
“But I have been asked to do weddings for three other people since then,” Cambria said.
