Grau Builders new home design is on trend for living and entertaining

Located at 6021 Wexford in Clarence’s Waterford Estates, at first look the 3,400 square-foot home looks like a traditional two-story structure with a gray stacked stone and sharp white trimmed exterior. Once inside, however, it’s evident the home is anything but standard.

Every inch of the unique floorplan shows the attention to detail.

“They spared no expense,” said Joel Calabrese of Hunt Real Estate, who represents Grau Builders. “There is a concrete driveway, sprinkler system, covered back porch and nine foot ceilings in the basement and first floor. Granite, hardwood flooring and ceramic tile are used throughout the house. There is wide molding, a coffered ceiling in the dining room and a vaulted step ceiling in the living room.”

The front door is outlined by arts and crafts style windows. Guest entering here will be welcomed into a home built for a relaxed lifestyle and lots of entertaining space, if needed.

Calabrese notes the design of the house is on trend with what he’s seen in other parts of the country.

“The whole way of living is changing. People are entertaining more, everything is more relaxed,” he said.

The heart of this home is the stunning kitchen with an oversized granite island/breakfast bar with seating for six. There is classic white subway tile backsplash and soft closing white cabinets. Built in stainless steel appliances include a gas stove with hood, wall oven, dishwasher and microwave.

A handy pantry increases the kitchen storage, while two nearby areas – a dinette with French doors that lead to a covered back porch and a more formal dining room – create a circular traffic pattern that keeps everyone connected whether for a regular weekday meal or special occasion.

Located off the dinette is a covered patio.

Adjacent to the formal dining room is a butler pantry with additional cabinets, a wet bar and space for a wine cooler or other refrigeration.

The formal dining room has a butler pantry that makes entertaining easy.

A nearby carpeted living room features a gas burning fireplace. Off the kitchen/dinette is a private den as well as a half bath.

The fireplace is flanked by two windows. The room is located just off the kitchen.

As beautiful as the home is, it’s also functional. Entering from the large three-car garage, homeowners will enjoy the convenience of an area to set down groceries or shopping bags, hang coats and take off footwear.

Upstairs there are four bedrooms and three full baths, including a jack-and-jill arrangement between two bedrooms. Each has its own sink area. A third bedroom has a private bathroom with a walk in shower. It would make an ideal guest room or private space for an aging parent.

The master bedroom has a large walk-in closet while the master bathroom has a modern soaking tub, a separate walk in tiled shower, dual sinks, a compartmented toilet and linen closet.

The huge laundry room on the second floor has a big sink, cupboards and counter space, and is convenient for everyone. Downstairs off the kitchen, carpeted stairs lead to a full basement that could easily be transformed into another living space.

The home is listed for $639,900. The home will be open Sunday, Aug. 20, 1 to 3 p.m.; then Sundays thereafter 1 to 3 p.m. For all private appointments call Judy Ralabate 867-6115 or Joel Calabrese 906-0316 of Hunt Real Estate. They also have a new build on Dodge Road that will be available soon.
