Driving on wrong side of the road leads to DWI

A 33-year-old man accused of driving on the wrong side of the street in the City of Tonawanda early Saturday morning was charged with felony drunken driving.

Police officers pulled over  his vehicle at 1:40 a.m. Saturday when they spotted the man driving on the wrong side of Main Street, police officials said.

Prince S. Phillips, of Meaford Road in Cheektowaga, was charged with felony DWI, speeding, imprudent speed during a rain storm and driving on the wrong side of the road, police said. Phillips was charged with a felony, because of a previous DWI in Cheektowaga in 2012.

He allegedly told officers he was coming from the casino and had "over five drinks." His blood-alcohol content was 0.14, which is over the legal limit of 0.08.
