A Buffalo man died in a one-vehicle crash on the 1100 block of Main Street early Saturday morning, Buffalo police reported.
A Buffalo woman was injured but is in stable condition at Erie County Medical Center.
The vehicle was traveling north on Main Street near Best Street at about 3:45 a.m. when the vehicle crossed the double yellow lines, went onto the sidewalk, struck a metal-concrete sign and then flipped over.
The man, in his late 20s, was extricated from the vehicle by Buffalo firefighters and declared dead at the scene. The woman, in her late 20s, was transported to the medical center.
Police are investigating if speed was one of the factors that played a role in the fatal incident.
