Cattaraugus man charged with driving while intoxicated on ATV

A 27-year-old Cattaraugus man was arrested on charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated Monday after he was stopped by Cattaraugus County Sheriff's deputies while operating an all-terrain vehicle on a highway without a helmet, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office.

Brent T. Moritz showed signs of intoxication, according to deputies, who stopped him at about 12:15 p.m. on Maple Hill Road, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Moritz's blood alcohol content registered at .18, the Sheriff's Office said.

He was additionally charged with operating an ATV on a highway and operating an uninsured ATV, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office.
