Live coverage: Cellino & Barnes partners battle in court over firm's breakup

Attorneys for the feuding partners at the Cellino & Barnes law firm will be in court in Buffalo this afternoon as the bitter battle to break up one of the state's most successful personal injury law firms continues.

Buffalo News reporter Melinda Miller will be covering the drama live via Twitter from State Supreme Court Judge Deborah A. Chimes' court.  You can follow the live coverage in her tweets below.

At the request of partner Stephen E. Barnes, Chimes signed a restraining order earlier this week directing Cellino not to take any actions that would disturb the "status quo" of Cellino & Barnes, which continues to function despite a dissolution action filed by Cellino two months ago.

Meanwhile, partner Ross M. Cellino Jr. has asked Chimes to appoint a receiver "to maintain the operation" of the law firm in the short term.

The two partners have accused each other of trying to steal clients and lawyers from their law firm as it slowly breaks apart.
