Studio Hue, a company that leads Buffalo-themed arts and crafts projects at parties, will open a brick-and-mortar location this fall.
Similar to the "paint and sip" concept, where patrons learn to paint in a cocktail party setting, Studio Hue's art instructors walk participants through craft projects. It books lessons in private homes, restaurants and bars, where participants work on a project and finish a piece of artwork to take home.
The company bills itself as a "traveling arts and crafts studio" and will still book on-site parties, but the new facility gives the company the ability to host its own classes.
The party and workshop studio will be located at 50 Broadway in a recently rehabbed building owned by Roger Trettel. Studio Hue, which opened in 2015, is locally owned by Alicia Hark, Christine Sugrue and Tina Rigley.
