Gymboree, a children's clothing retailer, will close its store at Walden Galleria. Crazy 8, a children's retail brand owned by Gymboree, will also close stores at the Boulevard Mall and Walden Galleria.
No closing dates have been announced, but liquidation sales began Tuesday.
San Francisco-based Gymboree is closing 350 stores across the nation as part of a bankruptcy restructuring. It filed bankruptcy in June saying it would shutter underperforming stores in order to focus on overall profitability.
It joins several retail chains that are paring down their retail footprint, including J.C. Penney, Sears and Payless Shoesource. The shift toward online shopping has left many retailers with more brick-and-mortar space than they need.
Gymboree has remaining locations at Boulevard Mall and Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls. There will be no remaining Crazy 8 stores in the Buffalo Niagara market.
Gymboree also owns children's store chain Janie and Jack, which has a location at Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls.
