Baseball diamond is too close to busy road

Why did the Town of West Seneca construct a baseball diamond in Fireman’s Park on East and West Road approximately 20 feet from the busy highway? The playing field faces the road and houses with no protection from flying hardballs. A permanent barrier needs to be erected before a senseless tragedy occurs. We don’t need another Delaware Park mishap.
