Kenmore's Anita Alvarez is half of the synchronized swimming duo that placed 12th in the technical preliminary Friday at the FINA World Championships in Hungary. Alvarez and Florida's Victoria Woroniecki scored an 83.4526 ahead of the duet technical final on Sunday.
The Russian tandem of Alexandra Patskevich and Svetlana Kolesnichenko set the bar with a 95.0062 on Friday.
The duet technical final begins at 11 a.m. on Sunday. The FINA World Championships are in their 17th year.
