An Amherst woman was accused Wednesday of driving while under the influence of drugs.
Anne Heller, 46, was stopped by troopers shortly before 8 a.m. on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Niagara Falls after Niagara County 911 received reports of a vehicle that was being driven in an erratic manner. Troopers said Heller showed signs of impairment when they spoke with her. Subsequent field sobriety tests and an evaluation by a drug recognition expert determined she was impaired by drugs, troopers said.
Heller was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and transported to Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, where a blood sample was taken and she was then released on an appearance ticket.
