Nate Oats and the UB men's basketball team have added a third big-name opponent to their 2017-18 nonconference schedule, announcing Tuesday a December 21 game at Texas A&M.
Oats' Bulls also have a game at Syracuse on Dec. 19 and a meeting with Cincinnati on Nov. 21 during the Cayman Islands Classic.
UB reloaded with two transfers and looks to improve on its 17-15 record from a season ago, when the Bulls' 11-7 conference record was good enough for the third seed in the Mid-American Tournament.
Texas A&M went 16-15 last season and 8-10 in the Southeastern Conference, which is known more for football than basketball but had a good season last year, with South Carolina making an underdog run to the Final Four and Kentucky and Florida advancing to the Elite Eight.
The Aggies are powered by the frontcourt duo of Robert Williams and Tyler Davis, who combined for 26 points and 15 rebounds per game last year as underclassmen. Williams was regarded as a potential high pick in the NBA Draft, but decided to return for his sophomore season.
The rest of UB's nonconference schedule has not yet been released.
