13-year-old charged with breaking into two Clarence homes

A 13-year-old has been charged with breaking into two homes in Clarence on Sunday and attempting to break into a third, according to the Erie County Sheriff's Office.

The teen admitted breaking into a home on Clearview Drive and another on Ledge Lane, according to the Sheriff's Office.

At the Clearview address, a homeowner reported various items were stolen, including an iPhone, a camera, tools, a GPS watch and jewelry. At the Ledge Lane home, the victim told police the thief went through a purse and viewed several pornographic websites on a laptop computer.

A Fox Trace Street resident also reported someone tried to break into their home, the Sheriff's Office said.

The teen, whose name was not released, was charged with felony counts of burglary and attempted burglary, and several misdemeanor charges and was issued appearance tickets for Erie County Family Court.
