A Pennsylvania man stopped for speeding Sunday night on the Thruway in Cheektowaga faces drug and weapons possession charges, according to the State Police.
Andrew J. Zawistoski Jr., 24, of Erie, Pa., had two loaded handguns in his vehicle, as well as marijuana, police said.
Zawistoski, who was charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and ticketed for unlawful possession of marijuana and several vehicle and traffic violations, was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center. He was ordered held in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $25,000 bond, authorities said.
He is due in Cheektowaga Town Court on Thursday.
