Tonight's Slow Roll Buffalo starts and ends in the Fruit Belt and will include a bicycle donation drive, organizers said.
The event will kick off from Futures Garden, 295 Carlton St. Riders were begin to gather at 5:30 p.m. and start their leisurely ride at 6:30 p.m.
Tonight's route, with the herd of bicyclists moving about 10 mph with a police escort, will weave through the Fruit Belt, Johnson, Broadway-Fillmore and downtown neighborhoods.
Vehicular traffic on some major streets, including Virginia and East North streets, Jefferson Avenue, Genesee Street, Broadway, along with Sycamore, William and Ellicott streets, will be affected as bicyclists move through the area, according to organizers.
The bicycle donation drive is being held in conjunction with GObike Buffalo and the East Side Bike Club.
Following the ride, an after-party with food, drinks and live music will be held at Futures Garden.
