Morning Pitch: Bisons host Syracuse for 23rd annual Independence Eve celebration

It's Independence Eve and that means one of the signature events in Buffalo happens at Coca-Cola Field. The Buffalo Bisons will host the Syracuse Chiefs for a 6:05 p.m. first pitch followed by a performance from the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus and the largest fireworks display of the season. Here's your skinny:

Game time: 6:05 p.m. Gates open at 4 p.m. and fans are urged to come early and familiarize themselves with the new security procedures.

Weather: The forecast from weather.com is looking pretty swell. Daytime calls for partly cloudy conditions with a high near 75. Monday night will see a few clouds from time to time with a low of 59.

Probables: The Bisons are scheduled to start righty Mike Bolsinger scheduled to start for the Herd against righty Erick Fedde.

The tradition continues: This marks the 23rd year of the Bisons' Independence Eve celebration with the BPO.
