NIAGARA FALLS – A pair of teens was arrested early Friday after police said they spotted them trying to break into a car in the 2900 block of Michigan Avenue.
Police were patrolling around 4:30 a.m. when they noticed the pair, with hoodies pulled over their heads, trying to enter a parked car. When confronted, the two ran off through nearby yards before eventually being caught.
Police said they recovered a bag with about $2 in loose change in the area where they initially saw the two, and recovered from the boys a pair of headphones, more cash and change, tweezers and a silver ring with green and red stones.
Investigators were trying to determine if any cars in the area had been entered. In the meantime, they charged Dominique T. Alexander, 18, and Kaseem Hunley, 16, both of Jordan Gardens, with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
