The Amherst Garden Walk will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at 29 locations across the town.
Maps of the locations are available at Arbordale, Hi-Way, Lavocat's, Lincoln Park, Menne, Mischler's, Donald Spoth Farm and 111 Campus Drive West.
Meanwhile, the Village of Williamsville's Garden Walk will be held July 15 featuring a Tiny Garden contest and Tiny Parade at 10 a.m. in the village's Pocket Park. The contest, which is free and open to the public, invites gardeners to plant and decorate a small portable garden of any kind or theme.
The organizers suggest a dish, tea cup, super hero or fairy garden as some possible themes. The entrants will be judged and awarded in two age categories – 12 and under, and 13 and up.
Preregistration by July 10 is encouraged but walk-ins are welcome. Visit walkablewilliamsville.com/garden-walk-2017 for more information.
