2 men arrested in Randolph on charges of heroin possession

The Southern Tier Regional Drug Taskforce arrested two suspects Thursday night in Randolph, Cattaraugus County, in connection to an investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics.

Brent Robbins, 24, and Ashley Waite, 28, were found sitting in Robbins' vehicle with a bag of heroin and heroin packaging, authorities said.

Robbins, who had the heroin and heroin packaging on him, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, criminal sale of a controlled substance and intent to sell, while Waite was charged with possession only, police said. Both suspects are now held at the Cattaraugus County Jail, in lieu of $15,000 cash bail for Robbins and $5,000 for Waite.
