Garden Notes for July 1-6

Jamestown Audubon’s 2017 Secret Gardens Tour of six gardens is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 1 on the grounds of the Audubon Community Nature Center, 1600 Riverside Road, Jamestown, and throughout the region. In addition to purchasing them at Audubon, presale tickets are available for $12 in Falconer at Robert’s Nursery (3172 Dry Brook Road) and in Jamestown at Lake View Gardens (1259 N. Main St.), Peterson Farm (3206 Fluvanna Ave.), Secret Garden Flower Shop (559 Buffalo St.) and Stillwater Garden Market (1445 Foote Ave.) Or order online at auduboncnc.org/gardenstour. Tickets can be purchased for $15 at businesses listed above and participating gardens on the day of the tour. For more information call 569-2345.

The Master Gardeners of Erie and Niagara counties will lead a garden tour at 10 a.m. July 5 at Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village, 3755 Tonawanda Creek Road, Amherst.

Williamsville Garden Club will visit Great Baehre Swamp Wildlife Management Area, Hopkins Road, Amherst, at 10:30 a.m. July 6. Gloria Gannon will present a program on local birds. Picnic lunch.
