Silo City music and art event will benefit music foundation

Seven local country, rock and blues bands will perform Sunday at a music and art event at Silo City, to benefit the Sportsmen's Americana Music Foundation.

The "bike and kayak friendly" event will be held at 100 Silo City Row along the Buffalo River from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.. Tickets will be $7 for adults, with no admission fee for children. Works of local artists will be on display.

Featured musical performers include Leroy Townes, Black Rock Zydeco, Ten Cent Howl, Shaky Stage, Mr. Conrad, the Brothers Blue and the Legendary Longjohns.

The Sportsmen's Americana Music Foundation is a not-for-profit group that sponsors seminars, workshops, concerts and educational programs to encourage the growth of music in Western New York. Silo City Row is located off Ohio Street near the intersection of Ohio and Ganson streets.
