East Aurora man charged with trying to break into City of Tonawanda home

City of Tonawanda police charged an East Aurora man with trying to break into a woman's home Thursday night and later struggling with officers who tried to arrest him.

When police arrived at a Steiner Avenue home at about 8:45 p.m., they found a woman screaming and Kevin Wolf, 42, of Chestnut Hill Road, bleeding from his forearm. Wolf broke a window and tried to enter the home, police said.

According to police, Wolf refused to comply with officers' requests, shouted profanities and refused to be handcuffed. Officers were able to stop the bleeding from his arm and he was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment.

He was charged with second-degree criminal trespass, criminal mischief, third-degree menacing, second-degree harassment, disorderly conduct, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, according to police.
