NFTA extends two bus routes to Medical Campus

Getting to the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus from the Southtowns by bus just got a bit easier during the work week.

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority and BNMC Inc. have extended two bus routes that will drop and pick up riders directly on the Medical Campus Monday through Friday. Some trips for routes No. 14 Abbott and No. 16 South Park, both traveling to and from South Buffalo, Lackawanna, Blasdell and Hamburg, are now extended to Carlton and Ellicott streets in the heart of the Medical Campus.

The extended routes now allow riders south of the city to access the Medical Campus without transferring to another bus, making the ride more convenient and direct. The change also will allow those on and around the campus to directly access SolarCity, Erie Community College South Campus, McKinley Mall and other points south of downtown.

Both routes previously ended downtown at Mohawk and Ellicott streets. The NFTA provides eight routes leading to the Medical Campus.
