MORRIS - Audrey Sexton (nee Britz)
Loving mother, born on December 1, 1921 in Buffalo, NY and died on June 10, 2017 at age 95 in Winter Park, FL. She married the late Dr. Allen G. Sexton in January 1944 as a war bride and raised her "seven wonders" to be loving, productive, educated professionals. Audrey had many roles; as mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher, librarian and masseuse. Reading was a passion of hers and she always loved humor. She graduated from South Park High School in1939 and from State Teachers College in 1943. After the death of her husband Allen in 1967 she graduated from Hilbert College with a degree in library science. She worked as a research librarian at SUNY Buffalo and later at libraries at Buffalo State College, in Amherst and at The Mayflower Retirement Community in Winter Park, FL. She married the late Evan (Jerry) Jervis Morris in April, 1980 in Amherst, NY and they later moved to FL. Audrey has left a legacy in her children: Allen D. Sexton (Sharon) of AL, Maureen A. - Growing old isn't for sissies!
- Read, and never be afraid to try new things
- You are as good as anybody and smarter than most
- Give back to your community and share your love In the interest of science Audrey has donated her body to the University of Central Florida Medical School.
