Stanford L. Gray, 22, of Dartmouth Street, was arrested by Buffalo Police at the Juneteenth Festival in Martin Luther King Jr. Park late Saturday afternoon.

After allegedly being observed by officers who knew him as a "known gang member" and being stopped for questioning, Gray allegedly tried to run away but was arrested in the park by officers about 4:04 p.m. Saturday.

Gray was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon after officers reported seizing from his rear pants pocket a .380 caliber handgun loaded with five rounds, according to an arrest report.
