Elma man injured when truck he was working on fell on him

A man working on his truck in the 7500 block of Seneca Street in Elma suffered torso injuries when the vehicle somehow collapsed on him about 12:30 p.m. Friday, according to the Erie County Sheriff's Office.

The man was responsive and talkative as he was rescued by local firefighters. He was flown by Mercy Flight to the Erie County Medical Center for treatment of his apparently non-life-threatening injuries. His name was not released by officials and his medical condition could not be learned Sunday night.
