ECC to graduate 55 officers into area police forces

When 55 students of Erie Community College's Law Enforcement Training Academy Basic Course for Police Officers graduate Friday afternoon, these are the police agencies where they will serve.

Thirty-nine will be sworn officers in the Buffalo Police Department. Four will head to Amherst Police. Three will go to the Niagara Frontier Transit Authority Police. And two will go to the University at Buffalo. In addition, the City of Tonawanda, SUNY Buffalo State, and the villages of Akron, Gowanda and North Collins will each get a graduate.

The class also includes 12 pre-employment candidates.

The graduation will be held at 1 p.m. in Canisius College's Montante Center.
