SEASON OPENER – Buffalo River Fest Park kicks off its seventh annual Wednesday Night Summer Concert Series tonight in the park at 249 Ohio St., with Bill LaRusch playing singalong favorites from the ‘50s to the present beginning at 6:30 p.m. Admission and parking are free. FUN TIME – Rivershore Foundation will hold its annual Fun in the Sun Event from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Lewiston Stone House, 755 Center St., Lewiston. There will be music by the Tim Britt Band, a cash bar and wine raffle. WHAT’S IT WORTH? – The Northeast regional sales manager for Beckett Grading Services, Charles Stabile, will assess collectible cards from noon to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in Bases Loaded Sports Collectibles, 794 French Road, Cheektowaga.
Drop-offs are accepted at the store for those who can’t make it Friday or Saturday. For every 10 cards submitted, customers will have a chance to win a $20 Bases Loaded gift certificate or an autographed photo of Patrick Kane or Bill Polian. William Maddox

SONIC DELIGHT – Acclaimed organist William Maddox, music director of Toronto’s Yorkminster Park Baptist Church, will perform a recital at 7:30 p.m. Friday on the original 1927 Tellers-Kent pipe organ at Blessed Trinity Church, 317 Leroy Ave. His program of Romantic French works and orchestral transcriptions will highlight the church’s acoustics and the tonal qualities of the instrument. A free-will offering will benefit the church’s preservation fund.
