Three men rescued off Gallagher Pier by Coast Guard

Three men who apparently got stuck in the water while trying to fix a damaged jet ski near Gallagher Pier off Fuhrmann Boulevard and Tifft Street were rescued by a boat from the U.S. Coast Guard's Buffalo Command at about 6 p.m. Saturday.

Buffalo Fire Department's Water Rescue Unit and an Erie County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit also were dispatched to the scene. The three men were all wearing life jackets, but no further information was released.
