PASTA PATROL – It’s spaghetti dinner time from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in Stephen Sikora Post 1322, American Legion, 950 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda. Dinners are $7 and include meatballs, bread and butter and beverage. For an extra $1.50, there’s a choice of homemade desserts.

BARGAIN HUNTS – An Inside Garage Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday in St. Andrew’s School Building, 111 Crocker St., Sloan, offering housewares, small kitchen appliances, toys, tools, antiques, sports gear, jewelry and clothing, including a large selection of women’s wear for $1. Fox Run Retirement Community, Big Tree Road near California Road, Orchard Park, will hold its first-ever rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, followed by a $2 bag sale from 2 to 3 p.m. Proceeds will help construct a new senior center in Orchard Park.

LOCAL FLAVOR – The Alden Chamber of Commerce will hold its 19th annual Taste of Alden from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday in Alden Town Park, 13118 W. Main St., in conjunction with the Alden Community Scholarship Foundation’s annual 5K Run.
