Morning Pitch: Mud Hens in for three-game series

Promotion: Thursday is School Kids Day at Coca-Cola Field with a 10:35 a.m. game scheduled against the Mud Hens.

Last game: Cody Asche hit a home run with two on in the bottom of the ninth for Charlotte to beat the Bisons, 9-7, on Monday afternoon in the finale of a four-game series in North Carolina. The Bisons went 3-4 on their seven-game trip to Gwinnett and Charlotte.

Pitching: Veteran right-hander Luis Santos is schedule to start for the Bisons against left-hander Anthony Vasquez of the Mud Hens.

Prospect watch: Dwight Smith, Jr., Jason Leblebijian and Rowdy Tellez, all 25 or under, are among the Bisons who hit well in Charlotte but the bullpen let the team down big time. Right-hander William Cuevas, 26, who struck out 10 in 5.1 innings in his last start is due to pitch for Toledo againsts the Herd on Wednesday afternoon.

Tickets: $9.50 to $15.50.

It's the opener of a six game home stand for the Bisons against Toledo and Charlotte. Toledo snapped a four-game losing streak with a 5-0 win at home against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday.
